This is a very safe and secured method because email gives you ample time to say what you want to say and how you want to say it. Besides that, you can remain anonymous. Use a pseudonym (if you need to) and speak freely about your issues without fear of judgement or prejudice. All you need is an email address to send and receive emails. You can express your thoughts, feelings and concerns by typing them out.

The advantage of email therapy is that it provides you with the time to consider your situation and put your feelings and thoughts into words. I recommend that you write your email, save it for a day, and re-read it before sending it. The process of writing what you want to say may help you purge out unwanted emotions. 


Once I receive your email, I will take the time to read it and respond with a well thought out therapeutic reply. Email therapy allows me time to carefully consider your problem before replying.

Email counselling provides immediate assistance where help is not close by or when in-person visits are not possible. However, it is not a complete substitute for face-to-face sessions. It may not need everyone’s needs and it may not be an effective means for cases where physical human contact may be needed to intervene.
