HOW DOES ONLINE THERAPY WORK?
Online therapy is the delivery of therapeutic counselling via a variety of cross-platform mobile apps for texting, video chatting and voice messaging.

Online Therapy eliminates the need for you to travel to me and it saves you the stress of rushing through traffic, or being late for appointment. You will still be able to benefit from my various therapeutic techniques and counselling. This means that you get my personal attention and get exactly what you want according to your needs.

Furthermore, there is no need to worry about a safe and secure environment because you are already in one – your home!

 

WHAT DO I NEED?
Besides your trusty computer or laptop, you will need:

  1. An internet connection (high-speed internet is recommended to ensure you enjoy an uninterrupted therapy session).
  2. A headset or speakers and microphone
  3. A webcam
  4. A Skype account

 

HOW CAN I BOOK MY THERAPY SESSIONS?
You can book your Online Therapy sessions sending me an Email (Please include your contact number in your email). I will then contact you via cross-platform mobile messaging app (Line, Telegram or WhatsApp) to discuss how best I can support you and arrange a schedule for your sessions.

Your initial consultation to discuss how I could help you is free of charge. You will then subsequent sessions are booked and paid for in advance via PayPal. Your fee will be automatically converted to your currency at the current exchange rate by PayPal.

A 48-hour notice is required with regard to any cancellation or amendment to your appointment time. Payments will not be refunded unless sufficient notice is given.

WHAT ARE THE NECESSARY PREPARATIONS PRIOR TO MY THERAPY SESSIONS?

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE THERAPY COMMENCES?
To facilitate an effective therapy, your cooperation is required and the first order of business is for you to fill out a Case History Questionnaire form. You can download the form here.

 

WHAT IS THE IDEAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THERAPY?
A private, quiet room with a comfortable chair where you won’t be interrupted by visitors, telephones, messaging or sudden noises.

Allow for plenty of light in the room and ensure that there is adequate natural light from a window. If necessary, please turn on a lamp or overhead light and adjust the camera to focus on you. It is essential that I am able to see your facial expressions and body movements during the therapy.

Make sure there’s no other moving object in the room as it may distract my focus. From my previous experience, the ceiling fan is one moving object that creates visual havoc when picked up by a webcam.

And please ensure that all phones, devices and gadgets that may emit sound are in the mute position.

 

 

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A THERAPY SESSION?
Give yourself enough time to setup your equipment and be at least 5-10 minutes ahead of time. This will allow you to go through the connection steps in a relaxed manner and get into a pleasant mood to benefit fully from your therapy session.

Get seated in a comfortable position where your body will be fully supported, especially your back and neck. If you prefer you bed or a recliner, it is fine so long as you can communicate clearly with me and I am able to observe your facial expressions and body movements.

Have a bottle of drinking water and a box of tissues close by in case you need it during the session. And please make sure to use the bathroom prior to your therapy session and NOT during the session.

 

 

CAN I STILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR THERAPY SESSION SINCE I AM LIVING IN A SHARED ACCOMMODATION?
Yes, of course you can. Just ensure that you are not disrupted under any circumstances for the duration of your therapy session. If necessary, inform your family members, employees or people living with you that you are not to be interrupted at this time (unless in the case of an emergency). If necessary, place a sign on your door to remind them that you are in a therapy session or you are not to be interrupted.

 

 

CAN MY PET(S) KEEP ME COMPANY DURING THE SESSION?
Please ensure that any pets are in another room during your therapy session. Even well-behaved dogs or cats must be placed in another room.

 

 

WHAT IF I GET DISCONNECTED DURING MY THERAPY SESSION?
Sometimes, the unpredictable happen and most of the time it is beyond our control. A power outage or disruption to the internet connection may happen.

 

If for any reason, our session should become disconnected, I will try to reconnect with you immediately and resume the session. If we are not able to reconnect, we will reschedule the appointment for another time.

HOW TO BOOK ONLINE COUNSELLING SESSION(S)

EMAIL THERAPY

1. Go to Therapy Bookings & Appointments section of this site.
2. Select “Email Therapy” from the menu and select the desired day and time from the list of available dates.
3. State the issue you want to work on and spend 30 minutes on your email stating your issue(s) and your intended outcome from the Email Therapy session.
4. Select your package by clicking one of the buttons below. Be reminded that 10 e-mail package will earn you a $5 discount.

 


CHAT THERAPY

1. Go to Therapy Bookings & Appointments section of this site. 
2. Select “Chat Therapy” from the menu and select the desired day and time from the list of available dates.

3. Select one of the following cross-platform mobile messaging app (together with your mobile number): Line, Telegram or WhatsApp.
4. Select your package by click one of the buttons below. Be reminded that a 5-session block will earn you a $15 discount.


SKYPE THERAPY

1. Go to Therapy Bookings & Appointments section of this site. 
2. Select “Skype Therapy” from the menu and select the desired day and time from the list of available dates.

3. Please ensure that you have the following equipment ready: webcam, headset or speakers and microphone and a Skype account.
4. Select your package by clicking one of the buttons below. Be reminded that a 5-session block will earn you a $20 discount.

HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I BOOK?


According to therapeutic guidelines and good practice, it is most beneficial with a minimum of:

  1.  5 – 10 sessions for Email Therapy (A ‘session’ is an exchange of emails of up to 2 pages between therapist and client).
  2.  5 sessions for Chat Therapy
  3.  5 sessions for Skype Therapy

After the completion of the recommended minimum sessions, we will discuss if mid-term therapeutic support is required. Mid-term therapeutic follow-up sessions will last from 3 months to a year.

I STILL HAVE SOME BURNING QUESTIONS . . .

 

IS ONLINE THERAPY SAFE?

Yes. Hypnotherapy via Skype is absolutely safe. During a session we use guided relaxation and visualization techniques. Hypnosis is simply a natural state of deep relaxation, where the powerful sub-conscious mind is open to beneficial suggestions. You remain conscious at all times and in control of everything you say and do.

 

 

WHAT IF MY INTERNET CONNECTION DROPS OUT?
during the beginning of your therapy session, I will give a suggestion that in the event of connection failure, you will simply reconnect and then return to the same comfortable, relaxed state that you were in.

 

 

AM I REQUIRED TO SET UP A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?
No. A credit or debit card will suffice. When you do your booking, this link will take you through a user-friendly process to make your payment and confirm your appointment. You will then receive a confirmation in your email.
